At this page of the Caicos Royal Suite website we originally posted all independent guest reviews of the Caicos Royal Suite as posted at rental sites. We now have many reviews for our two units at Royal West Indies Resort. There are now too many to post here but you can see them by checking the listings at AirBnB or VRBO. We do have our new unit at Coral Gardens reviews on its page at this website. If the review is only positive there will be no response. If the review raises concerns they will be answered by the owner below in bold. No reviews are omitted. Names have been abbreviated to first names or initials to preserve privacy. The Caicos Royal Suite in Beachfront Building 1 of the Royal West Indies Resort was first opened to guests on August 18th 2017. Before that the unit was on the resort rental plan where there would not be any individual unit reviews.

“Staying at M’s place was absolutely seamless. Needless to say the place was stunning. From the very beginning M was quick to respond thoroughly to any questions about his place and the local area. Upon arriving his management team was available for all our inquiries and went above and beyond to accommodate us. The 1 bedroom apartment has everything you may need. It was beautiful, updated, spacious and clean. The apartment suite was located very close to the beach. The patio was the perfect place to eat breakfast or have a drink. The kitchen was suitable to cook full meals. The living room was an easy spot to lounge, watch TV or read a book. The location of Royal West Indies was easily accessible to local shops (to walking for some shops or bike riding for others – we did not have a car). The beach was absolutely pristine with the most amazing water, the staff was extremely helpful without being overly friendly, and the patrons were there to relax and unwind. If you decide to go to Turks and Caicos, I would highly, highly recommend M’s place. Staying there by far exceeded all of my expectations. I would be delighted to return for many more stays!”

My wife, 16 month old daughter, and I stayed at this wonderful rental during late August to early September. Everything was awesome! It’s a beautiful rental at a great property. The rental is just feet from the most beautiful beach in the world and you can hear and see the ocean from the patio door. The rest of the property is also beautiful with great pools and a hot tub for when you need a break from the beach. And a bar/restaurant with wonderful food and a great happy hour! The rental was clean, spacious and exactly what we needed. The separate bedroom was really useful so our daughter could nap, and we didn’t have to tiptoe around to avoid waking her up. Having the full kitchen was also great for us. M was very responsive to any questions we had both before and during our visit and the check in/out process was very easy and hassle-free. Basically, things couldn’t have been better and this location will be at the very top of our list when we return again!

M’s place was just what my husband and I needed on vacation. The location was perfect – right on Grace Bay. You are in building 1, so you have an excellent view of the water. The bathroom is large. Having a full kitchen worked out well. We cooked some meals. Restaurants are quite pricey. The grocery store is very close. I do recommend renting a car. You have access to the amenities at the resort – stand up paddle boarding, kayaks and hobie cats. The pools/hot tub are very nice as well. There is a restaurant and bar on site at the resort. The resort endured the hurricanes, they were putting the finishing touches on the roof while we were there. The resort has a good mix of families, couples and singles. I would definitely stay here again. His place feels more like a home than a hotel, very spacious with central AC. I did a lot of research on Airbnb and resort sites on Provo – this place exceeded my expectations – don’t waste anymore time – book M’s place!”

We were thrilled with our stay in M’s unit. The beachfront unit was everything we expected and more. It is so close to the beach! We enjoyed the beautiful view and listening to the waves crashing against the shore. The unit was very clean and the check-in process was a breeze. The large bed/mattress was super comfortable. We were pleasantly surprised with the many amenities provided with the unit. We took advantage of the beach chair/umbrella service, free bike rental, free kayak rental, etc. The grounds around the area were beautifully landscaped. M provided spices and plenty of cookware which was very helpful as we were able to save a few bucks by eating a meal or two in the unit daily. The cooling unit worked nicely which was appreciated as it can get hot outside during the day. The pullout sofa provided for an extra sleeping space. The TV’s in the unit are high end and the cable TV was a nice extra. M is a great host and was very responsive to all of my messages.

Our stay at M’s condo in the Royal West Indies resort was amazing! The resort is very well taken care of and the staff was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. LOCATION = excellent! Right on the beach, close to shops, dining, a bakery for coffee and pastries in the morning. The beach was beautiful, wide & sandy, and clean. The CONDO was everything as described, 1 bedroom (the king bed was very comfortable!), fully equipped kitchen, pull out sofa bed (which we used without any discomfort). We had 3 generations in our party, my daughter, myself and my father – we found the resort to be very family friendly. AMENITIES, these were top notch. We were able to take out the Hobie Cat and sail around the bay (no charge) which was a lot of fun. There were towels for the pool and beach, loungers were available at both too. The restaurant had good food, we ate there for lunch twice. The ISLAND has a lot to offer. We decided to rent a car so we could explore Chalk Sound, attend the local Thursday night Fish Fry (street festival every Thursday was fun!) and we were lucky enough to be there for the Annual Conch Festival (worth going back next year for this!!) While restaurants and shops are absolutely within walking distance, we were happy to have a car for more access to the Island outside of just Grace Bay. Our family went scuba diving two days, and the dives were great! Lots to see (turtles, rays, sharks, etc). Very pleased with our experience. M was a great HOST and had wonderful communication with us leading up to our trip and when it was time for our departure. I would stay with M again, and we loved the Turks & Caicos.”

We just stayed at M’s place in Turks and Caicos. Overall I would say it was an outstanding value and view. In addition to the location and resort, We loved the blue tooth speaker and all the kitchen amenities for cooking in. The bed was also extremely comfortable. The unit comes with little things you might not expect such as coffee , filters, use of spice rack, dish and clothing detergent, etc. Overall nice home touches. The unit was spacious and most importantly directly on Grace Beach. We had an amazing time. M was a great host. Thanks!!

This spacious condo is directly on the beach, ocean view and is amazing. Unfortunately the whole time we were there it rained, but we still had fun. We plan to come back. For new guests…rent a car, you will thank me !

(OWNER RESPONSE: So sorry it rained so much. That is rare on the island which gets very little rain usually. With the rain you can not enjoy the property including the beach and pools as much and having a car gives you a lot more options on what to do. )

Our stay Jan 9-13, 2018!!! – We highly recommend M’s place and completely agree with all the positive prior guest reviews: In fact, we have already booked next year and we arrived home yesterday! Everything here is perfect if you like clean, quiet, beach perfection! This is the #1 beachfront ground floor corner 1 bedroom unit in a 3 floor beachfront building. The owner, his local assistants, the resort, the location, the beach, pools, restaurant, bar, beach chairs, umbrellas, towels, resort & beach staff, were all perfect. Fully equipped kitchen and washer/dryer, USB charger outlets. We did not rent a car but rather went to the IGA market by taxi & bike, Caicos Bakery, and walked to the Cocovan and Coco Bistro. We also walked along the beach to the other hotels, resorts, restaurants; and the water is Aquamarine clear blue; the sand pristine clean….ahhhh…we can’t wait to return!

Location, location, location! It’s hard for me to even write a review to give away this “gem” that we searched and searched for. M was amazing to work with and the on-site managers were quick to meet any need that we had. My husband is a kiteboarder so it was easy for him to take the car 10 minutes to the other side of the island while the rest of my family stayed out of the wind on Grace Bay and enjoyed the beach and pool. Wonderful place to stay, especially on the ground floor, when you have little ones along (we had our 1 and 4 year old daughters). There are bikes to take to town so it was an easy 5 minute bike to go shopping or to take a pilates class a few different days. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend M and his wife! As well as to Thashena who assisted us for the week! Incredible vacation – already wishing we could go again soon!

It was fine. Great location. Right near the beach. Smelled like cigarette smoke, which gives me migraines. Had to stay out of the condo as much as possible during our trip. Grounds are nice. Half price drinks from 5-7 at bar/restaurant.

(OWNER RESPONSE: We were very concerned about the cigarette smoke issue raised by Kari and did everything we could to track down the source, as smoking is not allowed in the unit and the previous guests did not smoke. It may be that while patio doors are open smoke gets in from people smoking on another patio outside as outside smoking is allowed at the Royal West Indies Resort. Kari was very sensitive to smoke and we have had no other guests raise this as an issue.)

Just got back from a stay at M’s place. As the other reviews have said, the place was very clean, stocked with all the essentials you would need to cook and plenty of towels available. Check in was a breeze and good communication as needed. The previous reviews were accurate and I would recommend for anyone to stay in the unit. It easily accommodates four (4) people. The beach is steps away and is a very nice and wide part of it. Some tips for anyone thinking of staying here.

I would recommend renting a car. There is plenty of free parking available and navigating the road was not that difficult. Yes you do need to drive on the left side of the road, but I was able to pick that up very quickly. This will allow you to get to the best restaurants and supermarkets with ease. A couple of taxi rides will be more than paying for the rental car.
Food is very expensive so anything you can bring from home would be wise to keep your costs down.
The resort itself is small and very clean and quiet. There are two pools and a hot tub. There are not a lot of lounge chairs by the pools so you need to get up early to get one. There were plenty of chairs available at the beach.
The onsite restaurant is very good, and do take advantage of the daily happy hour.

We just returned from a fabulous week at M’s one bedroom oceanfront condo. As you can see from reading all the reviews, it’s really a hidden gem. The kind of place you don’t want to tell anyone about because you want to keep it to yourselves. But M and his staff Thashena and Emmanuel were so outstanding we had to let people in on the secret. We enjoyed our coffee every morning and our wine every evening on the patio soaking up the beautiful view and fantastic sunsets. The brand new a/c works great and the king size bed is very comfortable! The 2 for 1 happy hour drinks at this resort are the best on the island. We love M’s place! We will be back.

Oceanfront on the best stretch of Grace Bay Beach. Emmanuel the property manager was friendly and answered any questions promptly. RWI property had a boutique feel, well kept grounds, and great beach staff. The Pelican Bay restaurant on site was good to dine out without taxi or walking and handy for takeout as well when you just wanted to relax back at the unit. Condo was very clean and as shown in pics. We will be back.

This was our first trip to TCI and I already know that we will stay here when we come back. This room was probably the best room at the resort. Ground floor walk out right to the beach with a table and chairs outside for morning coffee. It is the end unit so it has extra windows which makes it very nice. Full kitchen and bath. Pull out couch that my 2 little kids slept well on. Very comfortable bed in the bedroom. The resort was very laid back. Young families and older folks, but not any “spring breakers”. It was quiet at night and there was always room at the restaurant. Three small pools to choose from, one with a nice toddler end and a big hot tub. The paddleboards and hobie cat sailboat were free to use. The beach was amazing, this place is nestled in between some much more expensive resorts and offers all the same perks. I feel like we hit the jackpot with this rental.

Had a very nice stay in M’s unit. The location can’t be beat, the resort is well maintained and we had a great trip. You definitely need a car if you want to go exploring but we walked everywhere. The apartment was the perfect amount of space for our 2 kids and my husband and myself. Despite our wonderful stay there were some issues. I saw on another feedback that someone thought it smelled like smoke, we definitely smelled that while we were here. The hot water was a real problem while we were there. We could only get in 3.5 hot showers every night and we were FAST. It was somewhat frustrating that they didn’t come out the next day to fix it as promised and didn’t tell us they weren’t going to come. They did come the following day however we had to contact them to confirm they came rather than them following up. We ran out of toilet paper and asked for more but we didn’t hear back until after 10 at night that they weren’t coming. We have gotten toilet paper in the meantime. The inner part of dishwasher that spins the water is completely detached. We hand washed dishes the entire stay. The safe doesn’t work. M was amazing to deal with but there was definitely some issues with the woman he has supporting rentals in the unit.

(OWNER’S RESPONSE: This was the first time anyone expressed concern over the hot water supply and our local people did what they could to correct the concern but did not want to set the hot water temperature too high so as to be a burn danger to other guests. It is a new but small hot water tank and can not reasonably be expected to provide hot water for 4 people to shower one after the other. The safe has some electronic problem that we are trying to fix and it does work after repairs and then stops again. We will be doing a special cleaning and installing systems to reduce odors on an owner visit in April. Smoke may be getting in from other patios and balconies when the patio doors are open. The dishwasher bottom spinner piece does come off sometimes but can just be put back in place and it runs fine. We were not told of the dishwasher concern until after the guests left otherwise it would not have been a problem. Also, we are looking into getting a new dishwasher soon. Some people need more toilet paper or other supplies than others and if they do they should be prepared to buy more at the store as supplies for the unit are not provided on an unlimited basis. This is also the first time we have had criticism of our local managers who are usually praised by guests)

Stupendous tropical paradise

Visiting Grace Bay Beach in Turks and Caicos was like being dropped into a travel magazine that has the most breathtaking pictures of a resort, azure water, giant tropical flowers and palm trees surrounding it. The place was glistening in the sunlight and the sea breezes keep you cool. The sunsets are unbeatable and are different every day. The hues of the tropical light enhance the experiences you have on vacation. Grace Bay has the reputation as the most magnificent beach in the West Indies and it is. One of my favorite memories is sitting on the beach with my husband feeling the soft ocean breezes. It was never too hot on the beach and the sand does not get hot when you walk on it. The ideal temperature of the water enhanced the experience.

Your condominium adds to the experience. The furniture is attractive and I found the picture of Queen Victoria perfect for the “Royal Suite”. I also like the large living room painting that almost perfectly matched the sea outside the window. You have a fully functional kitchen and it is a delight to cook in it. The kitchen is stocked with anything you can think of, including a pizza cutter and a potato masher. The new bed in the bedroom and the memory foam sofa bed were very comfortable and we slept well on them. The patio is comfortable to sit out and watch the ocean. The patio also has adorable kitties who sometimes visit that are fun to feed. The view from the patio is breathtaking – the ocean aquamarine, the sailboats, sups, and banana boats gracefully sailing by.

Sitting on the beach is so easy because there are chairs and umbrellas there for all Royal West Indies guests. The cooling breezes make it delightful to sit on the beach. Getting in the water if you feel a little bit warm is like taking a cool bath in the clearest waters you can imagine. The bar and happy hours are fun, full of interesting people and inexpensive drinks. Be sure to try a drunken lobster cocktail! The food at the bar is excellent.

There are wonderful restaurants around the island. There is an excellent grocery store down the street that stocks anything you could possibly want.

If you want a visit to a tropical paradise that will take your breath away, this is the place for you to come!

Location, location, location! This place is located in a beautiful resort and in the best spot of the whole place overlooking the beach. M was an excellent communicator and check in was extremely easy. The place was cool, quiet and spotless. There were a couple rainy days while we were here, but the place is very comfortable and made for some relaxing down days. During the sunny days the place is cool and comfortable and still in the perfect location for walking along the beach, to the shopping center or to restaurants. Loved it!

M’s place was perfect. It is only steps from the beach making a quick snack or drink refill a joy. We really appreciated the personal notes in the guest guide and all the tips for getting around. The Wifi worked like a dream for making calls and surfing the net. The A/C worked flawlessly as we ventured in and out during the day and as we slept through the night. The unit is perfectly situated on Grace Bay Beach giving you miles of beautiful beach to walk and explore. There were plenty of umbrellas and chairs to pick up from on the beach to give you the privacy or company you seek. We met several couples during our stay at the beach or with drinks at the Pelican Bay Bar. At the end of the day we were never disappointed by the beautiful sunset and by M’s retreat. We will be back soon.

We have been to this resort 5 times and knew what to expect, Great small condo resort, every room, including M’s was very nicely appointed. His local rep was very responsive and the housekeeper did a great job. Definitely stay at Royal West again, most beautiful beach in the world. Had a great stay, Thashena was great and responsive. Got lucky with the weather. will look at next year later this fall.

The last Airbnb we stayed at we had a horrible experience, and even though we are Airbnb hosts, we were timid in getting back on the horse. Murray helped make it so easy. He was so communicative and having stayed in the Turks and Caicos several times, his place is a great value. It is about as close to the beach as you can get. It is spacious with a massive bed and a pull out couch (although we did not need the pull out couch). It was a great stay and whenever we come back we are going to check to see it M’s place is available first.

Really great place! Close to the beach, pool, and bar. Was in a quiet location which was nice. Great ocean view. Nice having a washer and dryer and full kitchen. Will definitely stay here on a future visit! Really enjoyed your place! The closeness to the main pool and beautiful beach view was an unexpected surprise. We were very comfortable and it felt like home. Having extra towels and pillows was a plus. Emmanuel was super awesome and accommodating!

Awesome Unit

We have just returned from an 8 day stay in June and had the most wonderful time. The unit is perfect for ground floor lovers like us. Clean, comfortable, and accessible.

The only issue we had was the safe locked on accident before I put the new code in for the first time. I shut it andaW it started to lock on its own!! After a second of panic I called the property manager and he said he would be right over to come unlock it with the key. He was right over with no problem on short notice!! Not sure what happened (probably my error somehow lol…)

The owners were great at getting back to me quickly if I had a question before we got there and were really easy to rent from..

Ocean view was typical of a ground floor unit. Dunes blocked some of the view while sitting but standing was great. We thought (if the resort allowed) a pub height table and chairs would solve that problem. However, we utilized the boardwalk sitting area located adjacent the the building in the evenings when we wanted ocean view cocktails, and there was always plenty of seating available.

All in all, great unit and great owners. We will rent again!!

Being a first time Airbnb user I did not know what to expect. Staying at M’s was a great experience from day one. Thashena welcomed us and gave us a brief tour of the facility and when we entered M’s unit we knew it was the right decision. Very roomy, clean with all the comforts of home and the view of Grace Bay that is breathtaking. M’s quick responses to any questions or tips was like having a concierge at your fingertips. We had accidentally broke the coffee pot and the local property managers had one delivered to us that day so we would not miss out on our morning coffee on the patio. If you want to relax and feel at home, this is the place to be!

We were very pleased with our stay. I’d say we will go back and rent here again when we can. The condo actually may have looked better in person than in photos. It is simple but tasteful and in good shape and clean. We had everything we needed. The mattress was very comfortable and the sofa sleeper better than most too. We were pleased with being able to see more water and beach than we thought we might being on the first floor. It was very quiet at that end of building too. We loved being in the first building close to the beach walkway and (happy hour) bar and pool. Parking was close too. The employees were very nice, and having free use of the paddle boards and kayaks was very nice. Enoc (especially) with the beach towels was very friendly and helpful. There were plenty of umbrellas and chairs put out too. The grounds are kept up beautifully and flowers, foliage and setting was pretty and peaceful. I always had quick responses to questions. The water is gorgeous just outside the door, but if you go, do go see Taylor Bay, Sapadillo beach and Chalk Sound too. We had a blast with great crew on Caicos Dreams snorkeling tour too that picked us up in van and dropped us off right at our beach. Hope you enjoy your stay like we did!

The apartment is beautiful. It is right in front of one of the world’s best beaches. It is part of the Royal West Indies Resorts so its facilities including beach chairs and towels are available to guests. There is everything you need in the kitchen. Overall I loved the time in Turks and Caicos and M’s apartment.

BEST unit in the resort. BEST location in the resort, facing the ocean. BEST host we have dealt with, M was very responsive and very helpful. The resort is not too big, beautiful landscaping everywhere. Great happy hours, good food and the staff is very friendly. Loved the 2 pools and use of bikes, kayaks, hobie cats, lounge chairs and umbrellas etc. And Grace Bay is really one of the most beautiful beaches on the world! Sand is as white and soft as talcum powder and the water is the most beautiful color. Great snorkeling too. It is really a fantastic place to vacation.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at your Caicos Royal Suite! Thashena was there waiting for us when we arrived. She brought us over to Suite 111, and showed us around. Very clean, beautiful kitchen & bedroom! The patio was very nice. Emannuel helped us the next day with how to open the safe. I mentioned to him that there was a broken wine opener in the drawer when we arrived, but thankfully there was a back up.

We absolutely loved your place, and we have been telling all of our friends! It was very quiet, spacious, nice kitchen, bath, and bedroom. We posted a million pictures on Facebook.

Of note, our favorite, Coco Bistro wasn’t as good as we last remembered. We got there when it opened, and there was already a couple seated right next to us in the way back. Food was over priced, smaller portions. Bay Bistro on the other hand was fantastic! $5 wines, beers and free conch fritters. Dinner was excellent too. I had the tuna rubbed with coffee appetizer, and lobster, my wife had shrimp wontons, and more shrimp. Junior was great! Ocean Clubs were undergoing construction. Hemingway’s for lunch was great! Seven Stars- We had two outstanding meals there, lunch, then the next night dinner outside. Simon, the head waiter/manager was excellent, and helped us out a lot. The lobster at the Pelican Bay was great, and large, but boo they cancelled the all you can eat. Well, we had a marvelous time!

I would highly recommend staying here simply because of the great location right on the beach and all of the amenities here!! They have a fantastic restaurant on the property, a great happy hour which is the best on the island and very friendly and welcoming staff, especially Enoch and Bert!! They are the best!! We stayed at the Caicos Royal Suite from November 17 to November 25, 2018. The condo was immaculate when we arrived and when our friends arrived to join us, it was large enough that it didn’t feel crowded with 4 adults sharing the space. The beach…well…nothing compares to the beach! We took the paddle boards and kayaks out on the ocean and saw stingrays, dolphins and all kinds of cool fish. The Pelican Bay restaurant on site has great prices and amazing food! The all you can eat lobster was to die for! The resort itself was pristine. If a leaf turned brown or a flower wilted, the staff were there tending to it within hours. Emmanuel was fantastic as well. On our second last day, we broke the coffee pot while washing it in the evening. He showed up the next morning with a new coffee maker. We hadn’t been on vacation in nearly 3 years so this was a perfect, relaxing getaway for us. Last but not least, the owners are wonderful people; easy to deal with and easy to get a hold of. We will definitely be back!

Excellent beach-front location, beautiful grounds, great space! We really liked having the full kitchen and washer/dryer. Buying your own alcohol and snacks is the way to go. We were so happy with our stay at M's place. 2 adults, 2 kids ages 12 and 14. Check in was super easy with the management company contact meeting us right on time. The unit was a great size for all of us. Loved having the flexibility to cook and had everything we could have needed. Used coffee machine and blender the most as well as the washer/dryer to pack lightly. Also used the snorkel gear so didn't have to pack it. Cleaning service mid-week was nice to have included. Beds were super comfortable with even the teenager not complaining. Loved the unit being on the ground floor since it was so easy to get in and out. We could hear Club Med next door from 6-8ish but only Sunday night music was obnoxious, the rest was fine and most nights was further away. I'd prefer that to the other units where you'd have to hear the live music at restaurant at Pelican Bay. Highlight was sunsets right on our own patio. Property itself is extremely clean and well kept. Used the paddle boards and bikes one day easily. On site restaurant is good in a pinch though overpriced except happy hour nightly. We definitely would come back to M's. Extremely responsive host with the few questions I had. Thank you!!

A VACATION IN PARADISE AT THE BEST CONDO . . . We loved it!

What a perfect vacation. Besides being beach front (which was amazing) we could easily walk to grocery store, fabulous restaurants, and the quaint shopping district. We took advantage of having a full kitchen and prepared breakfast and lunch in the condo. The kitchen had everything you need to prepare a meal. The condo was extremely clean and comfortable. Pelican Bay (the resort restaurant/bar) besides having a wonderful menu, has happy hour every night from 5 to 7!! A couple nights they had live entertainment pool side which we really enjoyed. The beach and water get no better than in Turks and Caicos!! All of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We were able to also use the resort amenities which consisted of hobie cats, bikes, paddle boards and for the first couple days we were there, they had a water trampoline. A lot of fun!! Great condo and great vacation! Thank you so much for a vacation that will always be remembered. We are looking forward to returning to your wonderful condo next year :)

We spent last week in Unit #111 at The Royal West Indies property. This unit is a one bedroom ground floor corner unit in Building 1, at the front of the property, steps from the beach. From the patio we enjoyed unobstructed views of the sunset every evening. This unit comes equipped with all expected amenities, including a full kitchen, a king sized bed, a washer and dryer, full TV listings, and high speed internet. The owners prepare the unit very professionally for your stay, with detailed and informative instructions on the unit itself, The Royal West Indies property, and places to see, visit, and eat while on the island. The owners were easy to reach and responded quickly to any of our questions in advance of and during our stay. We were very appreciative to have had the opportunity to enjoy such a nice place, at a nice property, virtually on the beach. We will be returning for sure.

M’s place exceeded our expectations. Right by the beach access and pool, it could not be more convenient.Views of the most beautiful water from our patio. We will definitely come back. Everything was wonderful and so accommodating when our flight got delayed. We will definitely look to rent again.
